About me

As an active member of the Psychological Science Research Group (PSRG) at UWE Bristol, my research focus is on biological and cognitive markers of development related differences and/or disorders.  Previous work on developmental dyslexia and autism examined the neural systems that subserve vision, attention and language processing.  Measures used have included Magnetoencephalography (MEG), fMRI, EEG, infrared eye-tracking and traditional psychophysical measures.  More recent multidisciplinary work has been focused on health and technology with an aim towards developing applied solutions for diagnosing, monitoring and navigating health related issues. For example, recent projects include collaborations with colleagues using AI to utilise combined neuro/physiological sensor data for clinical applications. I am also active within the Brain Language and Behaviour lab in collaboration with clinicians at Southmead Hospital in Bristol working on novel language test to be used during awake brain surgeries.
